Episode 86 Transcript – Special thanks to everyone
Good Morning! You’re live with Jessi Johnson although I guess it could be afternoon or evening depending on what time you view this video blog. I’m here in not so sunny Toronto, not much of a view other than some buildings, this morning after the CMP Awards. I had the honour of being nominated for two awards. Both at which I unfortunately suck and did not win but I’m going to get a little cheesy here. I had these two speeches in the event that I did win, me being anally organized and always prepared, that I was going to say. I’m not going to say the whole speech even though they are pretty funny, but I still wanted to give my shouts out to everyone that helped me get to where I am today and I feel people deserve to know that. No financial tips today just lots of love which is important. I started off by saying on my second speech, this is for the Best Newcomer that I didn’t win, congratulations to the gentleman who did by the way; It has been my personal goal to be the Top Broker in Canada since I started. Persistence and my cell phone have been my best friends over the past few years with the exception of my loving girlfriend of course and a few other friends! Special thanks to the following people: my loving girlfriend Janakie who couldn’t make it today and would have loved to have been here but she was too busy being a rockstar doctor in Vancouver. I’ve never met someone who is so incredibly supportive even though she is so busy with her own career. Thank you. Jamie Fecteau with Sutton West Coast Realty who was kind enough to allow me to work out of a number of her offices. Joe Bolongo at CityTV, catch you at the next hockey game. Wendy Whiting, owner of Global Mortgage. Joanne Vickery who is now with Dominion Lending. Garth Ellis, even though I’m technically competition, he’s always taken time out of his busy schedule to advise me on a number of topics and I appreciate that very much. Hopefully it will be my turn one day to offer the same advice to another young broker. Peter Kinch for my media inspiration. Thomas Park from Vancouvercondos.com and Park Realty. Watch out for Vancouvercondos.com, it’s going to be pretty cool once it gets launched. Ted and Tak at Ballistic Arts, my web guys. Awesome, awesome, awesome. The most organized and professional web guys I’ve ever met. If you need a website call me. Glen at AM730 and Corus Radio. All traffic, all the time! Jesse and crew from CMP Magazine. Without them none of this would have been possible. Thank you very much for all your support. You guys did a great job. It was one hell of a gala yesterday. Mark Forsyth at CBC Radio One who allowed me to have my first real estate related radio interview. My senior broker and good friend, Darren Popoff, not a clue what I would do without him. My Mom for believing in me. Last but not least, all my friends, family and referral sources who make my business and success possible. Thank you very much. I’m done with the cheesy stuff. I’m in Toronto and my good friend Pearl is going to take me around the city this afternoon. I’ve been through Toronto a zillion times but never actually “to” Toronto. I’m pretty excited. If I get inspired and find a good location I might drop another blog but I just wanted to thank you, all my viewers, I know I’ve got something like 12,000 right now. It’s pretty cool. I appreciate your support and I’ll try to keep my life to be as entertaining as possible for you. It’s only going to get better. I’m not going to say that cheesy line, how does it go? You haven’t seen nothing yet! You can reach me at www.firsthomeinfo.ca or www.jessijohnson.ca. Have a good day, bye!
