This is Jessi Johnson live in Toronto, Canada. I’m at the CMP awards. Canadian Mortgage Professionals. I’m exhausted. I’m a little more awake than I thought I would be. I’m functioning off about 7 hours of sleep since Wednesday. It’s technically Friday I guess now. Anyways, a little frustrated, I’m not going to lie. I came all the way down here and I was up for a couple of awards. Top Broker in Canada under 3 years and Best Internet presence in the entire Mortgage industry. I knew I wasn’t going to win that one because I was up against Scotia Bank and these other billion dollar corporations and big surprise, I didn’t win. Top Broker award I thought I had a chance but I guess oh well, next year. I’m here at the gala, trying to stay awake, trying to have a good time. It’s pretty cool. Over here is where if you win an award they do a big photo op with the sponsor. We had a huge gala here. They had a comedian from CBC come on. He was actually pretty good. On each of these video screens, there’s video screens everywhere, they showed everything that was happening and actually a prequel to each award they showed a video presentation where they sent people into our offices. I had this guy come into my office and gave me two minutes to come up with a skit, tossed a superman outfit on me and I did this skit. It’s probably a good thing but apparently I missed it. They waited until the end of this gala to show it. I was to busy in the other room talking to my girlfriend and missed it so I have no idea how it turned out. Apparently it was pretty funny. My thought on the day is I’m totally bitter and choked. Actually I’m exaggerating, I’m trying to get some sympathy out of you, come buy a mortgage off of me. The point I’m trying to say is shit happens, don’t get frustrated, keep on trying and next year maybe I’ll get three or four nominations and maybe I’ll get one of them. Who knows? I’m going to go have a glass of wine or two, maybe three and then go to my hotel and sleep for 12 hours. You can reach me at www.firsthomeinfo.ca and I wish you a good day!
