Episode 16 Transcript – Mortgage insurance – part 2

Hello! You’re live with Jessi Johnson and I hosted my first home buyers seminar last night and I’d like to say it was a smashing success! We had two people show up and one of them, coincidentally, was my mother. Thanks mom for coming. One of the topics we discussed very briefly was mortgage insurance and in one of my prior video blogs I also discuss mortgage insurance. Now this is a topic I surprisingly don’t know a huge amount about. Most brokers don’t. We’re not insurance agents by any means and we’re actually told not to advise clients of their insurance needs. Myself as a broker, what I generally do, I deal more with mortgage insurance questions further into the transaction, near the end because you don’t really need to know too much about it until later. I have these wonderful brochures and if you have any questions about mortgage insurance that I deal with, which is an alt lender insurance, it’s kind of the same thing. Same price, same company, the only difference is that lender insurance sticks with the lender and mortgage insurance stays with the mortgage which is definitely what you want.
