Episode 108 Transcript – Blackberry application & exchange server
This is Jessi Johnson live from some creek in the middle of nowhere. I’m out in Harrison, to the west side of Harrison Lake, fishing with my mom. We climbed down this little tiny creek in the middle of nowhere by our campground and there’s my mom armed with a slingshot. I haven’t caught anything yet. There are two things today that I’m going to chat about. One is Microsoft Exchange Server and the other a BlackBerry application which you can get if you email me. It’s a really nifty application you can put on your BlackBerry, I don’t think it’s available for iPhone yet but it’s a mortgage calculator. If you’re shopping, instead of taking all these sheets and running back home, you can find out on the spot what your monthly payment would be. The other one is Microsoft Exchange Server. The concept of this is you set it up, you pay about $25 to $30 a month to your hosting company and what it does is it ties to your Microsoft Outlook and to all your contacts, calendar, email, everything is synced live. So if you have a contact on your cell phone it is instantly updated on your Outlook. Pretty cool. I’m going to go try to hit the can there and catch some fish. You can reach me at www.firsthomeinfo.ca or www.jessijohnson.ca. Remember to own your life. Have a good day.
